OUR STORY
Robyn Sharp has been involved in the Cheer & Dance field for over 50 years. She started as a World and National Champion and Miss Majorette of America, lead the Rose Parade in front of the Tournament of Roses Parade, and became a twirler and cheerleader for the L.A. Rams and Lakers which lead to many appearances in movies, television, and commercials. She has traveled and performed in South America and Peru as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United States.
Robyn started her teaching career by instructing State, World and National Champions with extensive training. She has also taught students from Australia, Japan, and Hawaii. Her students lived and trained with her for several months out of the year. She was an instructor for many schools around California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, New York, and a judge for many organizations throughout the United States.
Some of her better known accomplishments include: coordinating the Opening Ceremonies for the L.A. Olympics in 1984, Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the World Cup in 1994, and Closing Ceremonies for the Statue of Liberty Re-opening in New York. Along with these Special Events, she has also coordinated Opening Day Ceremonies for the L.A. Dodgers, S.F. Giants, S.D. Chargers, Anaheim Angels, L.A. Galaxy, and pre-game/half-time shows for the L.A. Clippers. Robyn currently manages and operates the competitions, workshops, and camps. She now deals with over 10,000 schools, studios, & independent teams all over the world. She donates countless hours to young children and gives thousands of dollars in scholarships each year.
Monique Sharp is our Director of Operations and Creative Services. She has transformed the lives of countless individuals nationwide in Jazz, Cheer, Song, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Ballet, Drill and Flags. She has helped thousands of individuals achieve success in their field of expertise.
Her accomplishments include performing for the L.A. Clippers, L.A. Dodgers, S.F. Giants, S.D. Padres, Anaheim Angels, and L.A. Galaxy, where she was lead dancer. She also performed at Opening & Closing Day Ceremonies of the World Cup in 1994. She was Honor Band Lead Dancer in the Tournament of Roses Parade, and a State, and Regional Solo Champion Dancer/Songleader. She has also performed in various Music Videos throughout her adolescences ages. Monique traveled to various states throughout the West Coast to direct Dance and Cheer Conventions and Competitions. Her energy, power and enthusiasm have inspired thousands of individuals who now achieve a higher level of performance in life.
Monique continues to grow all SHARP brands year after year in her fields of expertise & has been a part of SHARP International since it’s conception.
Skyler Sharp, started his love for hip hop dance & gymnastics at the age of 10. Growing up in a family full of performers, he quickly realized that dance was a gift he had been given.
Dancing with various organizations throughout the Los Angeles area lead Sky to study under the direction of Kolanie Marks, Rob Rich, Matt Steffania, Janelle Ginestra, Alan “Phlex” Kirk, Kenya Clay, Fresh Redding, Shane Sparks, Rosero McCoy, and Elm Pizarro. He has had several opportunities to perform on the stage of Carnival’s Choreographers Ball with various choreographers. Sky has been training extensively by several top notch instructors in the Los Angeles area in hip hop, house, b-boying and gymnastics since 2010.
Featured on Nickelodeon Game Shakers, NBC Live Shows, Club Mickey Mouse Back to School Special, Several episodes on Awesomeness TV Dance Battle, Boys of Summer Tour, Dunkin' Doughnuts Commercial, and on going Anti-Smoking Commercial w/ The Real Cost.
He has traveled and had the opportunity to teach classes, train/perform in several shows & competitions throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Illinois, Texas and Hawaii. Sky has been featured in several music videos in the past years. Kiki Palmer, Nadia Rayne, Carson Lueders, Miguelito, Bea Miller – Young Blood, Skrillex & Diplo – Dirty Vibe and also featured on America’s Got Talent through the live rounds. He has performed as a Spark Kids L.A., The MOB & IMMA BEAST Dance Companies.
When Sky isn’t traveling, training or performing, he joins his family business SHARP International performing and spreading the love of his passion for dance and gymnastics.
Donnie started teaching & performing at SHARP Dance Studios in the 90's. Shortly after he bacame a part of of the SHARP family and the rest is history! Donnie performed on MTV as a professional breakdancer at a young age. Married to Monique Sharp and father to Skyler Sharp, Donnie has been a part of the SHARP brand for over 28 years and counting. He produces all SHARP Trophies, Awards and maintains the many SHARP trucks and trailers that get hauled to each of our events. He continues to DJ at all of our SHARP events and truly loves the interaction with coaches, participants, family & friends... Everyone loves Donnie!!
Meet Jayy Rodrigues, a professional dancer and aerialist who has enchanted audiences from Universal Japan to the Magic Kingdom! With standout roles like Chistery in "Wicked" and Aladdin/ Magic Carpet in “Aladdin,” Jayy brings a whirlwind of energy and talent to every performance. He’s also performed alongside Beyoncé and even made a splash in the LA Clippers Halftime Show.
When he's not dazzling crowds, you might find him soaring through the air on cruise ships or mastering acrobatics like a pro. Fluent in Spanish and always upbeat, Jayy thrives in high-energy environments. Whether as a dance captain or a tumbler, he’s all about teamwork and positivity. Get ready to be inspired by his passion for the performing arts! He is currently coaching and choreographing for nationally ranked cheer & dance teams throughout the west coast!
Abbi owns and operates Concrete Entertainment Group, a live entertainment provider specializing in live entertainment and brand activation campaigns. For more than 20
years, she’s been the industry go-to for experiential events, with clients ranging from Adidas, Netflix and Verizon to A-list celebrities and beyond.
When Abbi’s not dazzling audiences with one-of-a-kind events, she serves as a Director for Sharp International, a renowned dance and cheer competition circuit. A long-time
fixture in the industry from athlete to coach, Abbi was a competitive gymnast before transitioning to Dance and Cheer in her teens. She went on to win multiple National
Championship Titles with both cheer and dance teams throughout high school and into her college career at the University of Central Oklahoma.
Abbi’s latest venture - The Home Team Fundraising - combines her branding expertise with her passion for making sports accessible to teens. Growing up in a single-parent household, Abbi knows firsthand the importance of successful and reliable fundraising: she depended on it to participate in the sports she loved. Founded in her Mom’s
memory, THT connects deserving teams with exceptional, high-value items to maximize funds raised so that everyone has access to the sports they love.
Michelle has been teaching, choreographing, and coaching cheer and dance for the last 27 years. She has been a part of our company for 20+ years. After receiving her Masters Degree in Dance Education from Cal State Long Beach, she started 3 dance programs and coached several Nationally ranked cheer teams at both the middle and high school level. In her spare time, she is in her 13th season as the Dance Captain for the WNBA Los Angeles Sparks OLE SKOOL CREW; where you can see her all summer long, performing center court, at Staples Center!
Nancy started dancing at the age of 7 and instantly fell in love with dance.
She has been enthusiastically involved in the cheer and dance world since 1996.
Nancy has taught beginners through collegiate level cheer and dance teams since 1999 and was a part of both her dance and cheer teams in high school and throughout college.
With over a decade of experience, she has judged multiple dance and cheer competitions and has performed internationally and across the United States. Most recently she was dancer for The LA Sparks “Old Skool Crew” for the WNBA.
Nancy Valle is an esteemed judge with 20+ years of experience in the cheer and dance industry. With a passion for performance and a keen eye for detail, she has had the privilege of judging numerous competitions at both the regional and national levels.
Nancy has trained in various styles including jazz, hip hop, pom, lyrical and cheer. She has her own dance team along with her sisters and she coaches a High School Cheer Team.
Beyond judging, she is committed to fostering a love for dance and cheer in young performers and believes in the importance of not only technical skill but also the artistry and passion that each performer brings to the stage.
